    Now

I stepped outside my office on Friday and this is what I saw in my parking lot.
This lady DID NOT want her picture taken and her babies were right in tune with her.
They are heading underneath of the closest car. Hence, I took what I could get…

I thought I would start a photos of nature thread so that anyone could post here. For me, nature is therapeutic.

I will be back to post some more photos from time to time…

Rosemary, I love photo shots of nature. I agree with you that they are very therapeutic and I am so happy to see you start a thread for this.

    This shot is so adorable!

Rosemary? Zach? Could one of you or the both or anyone else tell me how to download my pics so everyone can see them? The way I have been doing it is downloading from my computer from my pictures. They are all saved in JPG format and then I use the Additional Options below, but evidentally this does not work.

    Thanks for the input!

Alice, after cropping your photo to the size you like and saving it as a jpeg, upload it to a service like photobucket.com. Then, when you’re composing your post, select the little icon on the bottom that is second-from-the-left that looks like a little framed picture. That will insert a couple if tags that look something like this {img} {/img}. Paste the path information from photobucket.com between the tags like this {img}http://www.photobucket.com/images/alice.jpg {/img} and voila. A picture.

Zach, thank you so very much for the information and your patience in explaining it to me.

I will probably try it later when I am not running back and forth to mowing the yard, to the bathroom, to checking in on my 2 year old grandson and my 7 year old grandson, then to the bathroom again………oh never mind, Rosemary understands, lol.

    You guys are fantastic!

Well it’s time for me to quit! As I was resizing and previewing, I hit the wrong button.
The photo is from the deck of the Priest lake cabin. I thought a title such as a “higher power” would be appropriate. I need a higher power to help me “resize my photos” and learn to post! :-

I apologize once again for the size.

Wow Gordon, Amazing picture. Did you happen to get any bad storms or high waters that night?

As you can see, I too am not having much luck posting pictures. They always say though, practice makes perfect, so just keep on posting.

    Wow, Gordon,

Really neat photo. That cloud looks to have the consistency of cotton. It looks that thick.
Thanks for sharing. It is so fun to see the things that others see.

Okay Teach (Zach), let’s see how well this student can follow directions :). Do hope this works and all will enjoy. You know, I really should receive a purple heart for this pic ;D. This Snapper could have taken half of my leg off in one bite, lol, and as you can see, he was coming right at me, lol. I bet his shell alone was a foot long if not longer. Don’t see alot of them this big in Kansas.

I agree with you Alice. That’s a little too close for comfort. Really neat pic though.

One of the reasons that I liked my (ex) boyfriend is because when we saw a turtle trying to get across the highway, I would pull over, and he would go and pick him up and take him to the ditch on the side of the road so he wouldn’t get run over. I’ve done this myself before, but, to be honest, I’m pretty scared of turtles.

Really nice pic. Really close. Thanks for sharing.

    Your bud,

Rosemary, that is funny because that is the reason I had my brother stop the car in the first place, so I could get him off of the road. I did stop a car that was coming from the other way in which the side the turtle was on. I was glad we had stopped. I have to admit though, we did have some fun with him before we let him back in the water and I too was very afraid after I heard that first hiss and snap :D

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment.

I think this is one of those times a person just had to be there ;)

This photo was taken in my salad days of photography and is unfortunately over edited. I still really like this scene perhaps because I remember this October morning as very crisp with an easy air and very fine weather. I also like the little ducks. This photo is taken at a Marina in my hometown of New Bern, NC.

Rosemary, you sure know how to make me smile :). If I would have tickled him, I am sure I wouldn’t be typing with two hands, LOL
