Players are having trouble getting the Seamless Co-op mod to work following the release of Elden Ring's DLC, but its creator assures fans that the broken mod will soon be fixed.

FromSoftware's latest action RPG title has been commended for its massive open world, immense creativity, and its collection of tough bosses. Since its release in 2022, Elden Ring has gone on to sell millions of copies, becoming one of the biggest success stories in modern gaming. FromSoftware hopes to continue this success with the game's DLC. Titled Shadow of the Erdtree, players once again get the chance to explore The Lands Between as they counter new areas and enemies. However, fans hoping to play seamless co-op with a friend are out of luck for now.

Those wanting to experience Elden Ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC using Seamless Co-op are now unable to, with players encountering issues with the mod. Now, the mod's creator, Luke Yui, has confirmed the issues and states a fix is being worked on. "The DLC has been out for half an hour," said Yui in a recent statement to the mod's Discord. "The Seamless Coop rewrite has been patched to support it—however, it still needs to be tested. Also, some features and bugfixes from older versions are still missing from the rewrite, and they're big enough to hold off the release until they're implemented." Yui says he's working on a fix and will implement it into Elden Ring as soon as possible.
